You might be wondering about the name of this private practice. In the realm of contemplative psychotherapy, "brilliant sanity" describes the ontological reality that all people, including yourself, exist in. At our core, we are healthy and whole beings. While life may bring cloudy days that obscure this fundamental truth, your innate wellness always remains. My role as a psychotherapist is to hold up a mirror that reflects this innate wellness back to you.
An additional core of my clinical approach lies in the power of “the talking cure” of psychoanalysis. Through open dialogue in therapy, you can delve into understanding the emotional and behavioral patterns that shape your life. This open conversation can pave the way for reducing symptoms like anxiety and depression, offering a clearer path towards transformative change and improved well-being.
Having firsthand experience as a queer person, as well as extensive research and clinical background in queer mental health, I bring an empathetic and adept perspective to my therapy work.
In addition to working with LGBT/queer folks, I specialize in grief, loss, and death; life transitions; spirituality; psychedelic experience integration; and couples & family work.
While I do not offer in-person services at this time, online therapy is a great option, and the research shows that therapeutic outcomes are as good with online therapy as they are for in-person services. With online therapy, you can attend sessions from the comfort of your home—whether you live in the Denver or Colorado Springs areas, or anywhere throughout the Front Range, Western Slope, and other Colorado regions.
